Cala Antena

One of the three natural beaches making up Cales de Mallorca is Cala Antena. Its visitors may dip their feet into the fine white sand and refresh themselves in the peaceful and crystal-clear waters. Among its main noticeable traits is its narrower shape, just 85 metres length yet 25 metres wide, surrounded by low foothill-cliffs. On the right side of the beach we find some buildings, while the left side is not as high and free of any structures.

The flow of visitors is quite steady, as its surroundings include various hotels and residences. This beach features showers, lavatories, parking spaces, lifeguard on duty and handrailing to assist the less mobile, as well as a beach-bar where you can enjoy a drink or an ice-cream. Fishing is allowed too, so you can take the chance to catch up and delight in a little angling. A real highlight of this beach is its fantastic surrounding coastline, whether enjoyed from below with goggles or from above by walking down the steps from the cliff to the water’s edge. The depth of these waters allows for boats to approach and anchor, varying from 2 to 4 metres.

In reaching this cove, one finds a simple tarred and sign-posted road. Vehicles may be parked on the streets of Calas de Mallorca and the bus reaches a stop just 100 yards from the beach.

As previously noted, the beach lies by the peaceful residential community of Cales de Mallorca, meaning various amenities, cafés and restaurants are near-by and easy to find.

An ideal corner to spend your holidays!
