In honor of the holy Virgen del Carmen, patron of the sea and of sea-fareres, Porto Cristo enjoys very popular festivities called the Fiestas del Carmen, held from the 5th to 21st of July. The most important day here is on the 16th of July, when the procession through the coastal town’s streets unfolds and concludes in the sea with both fishing boats and leisure vessels involved.
Also, all week long a great number of activities take place such as night fairs, dinner with habanero style hats, traditional human-tower climbing acts and night festivals with diverse musical shows.
